David Stewart, Managing Director

David has been active in the property market for nearly 20 years. Long before television ‘discovered’ property development, David entered the market in 1989 at the age of 24 by purchasing a row of run down terraced houses that were renovated and sold on for profit.

He has been active over the last nine years building an investment property portfolio. Prior to that, David has been involved in full time senior marketing and sales roles within blue chip companies.

Having experienced first hand poor property management services as a professional landlord, David believed that the market deserved a first class level of service with transparent working practises. That’s why he established ‘In Residence’ - a specialist independent property management business that offers customers a service they can rely on.

Helen Gresty Browne, Director

Helen’s career in property began in 1991 when she joined Crown House Engineering, which later became a subsidiary of UK leading construction company, Carillion Plc. As PA to the General Manager she was tasked to undertake a £1 million redevelopment of the building in which she was situated. Having completed the role on time and on budget Helen was asked to join Carillion Services as a Facilities Manager for the site.

In 2001 she won the tender for the Carillion Estate which would enable the company to undertake site surveys of 160 buildings and to check for legal compliance. Helen was then promoted to Facilities and Record Centre Manager responsible for centralising the information regarding building compliance for Carillion properties and some of Carillion’s external contracts.

Having gained considerable expertise from her time at Carillion, Helen decided to set up alone specialising in property and workplace legislation. Then in 2006 she was approached by In Residence to lend her expertise as Company Director, bringing with her strong commercial and residential property management skills - ideal for taking developers through the minefield of today’s property and workplace legislation.
